It has been quite a while after all. Re-reading my previous post, my trip to India in aug/sep was not quite legendary.it was horrible - i lost my beloved grandmother when i was there. it would have been painful to see her suffer even if she had pulled through, but it is difficult to lose someone you grew up with. that aside, and a host of other Indian functions i hardly had time to do anything else.the traffic was insane, the prices were ridiculous and for the very first time gangotree sucked. yes, it was so unclean - there was a hair in my pani puri, a cockroach going under those lighted sweet stalls, AND a ridiculously small plate of bhel puri. My heart sank. I am off again for 3 weeks from christmas until pongal & i hope its a good trip. a brand new nephew and a host of other functions this time as well. but, i find it hard to fight back tears when i think of entering my house and not seeing my paati on that old rocking chair. Life is unfair.
